Domain
A link in bio custom domain
Point a hostname you already own at this page with one DNS record. SSL is included when you publish. The name stays registered to you, and you still pay the registrar for it.

What connecting it means
A username URL works the day you publish. The domain is the optional step, when you want the address to be one you already control.
Record
One DNS record
Type the hostname, usually a subdomain. We show one record. You add it at the registrar. Verification and SSL follow.
Certificate
SSL on every plan
There is no certificate fee and no yearly domain add-on. Monthly, yearly, and lifetime include the connection.
Registrar
The name stays yours
We do not sell the domain, and we do not keep it if you leave. You still pay the registrar for the registration.
Print
A QR that can keep scanning
A code that points at the domain you control still scans while that domain points at the page, including after a username change.
Add the hostname
Enter the hostname you want, usually something like links.yourname.com. We show one DNS record. You add it at the registrar. Many people are done in a few minutes. A slow registrar can take longer to publish the record.
The domain stays at your registrar. There is no certificate fee from us, on any plan. Sharing the URL, including a printed QR, is covered on the share page.
The steps
- Enter the hostname
- Add the one DNS record
- Wait for verification
- SSL is issued with that check
Why the hostname is yours
A profile on someone else’s host has to be edited everywhere if you move. A domain you control can keep pointing at this page, or at whatever you put there later. A printed QR of that domain keeps scanning for the same reason.
A subdomain such as links.yourname.com is the usual hostname. The registration stays where you bought it. We do not sell the name, and we do not keep it if you leave.
What you keep
- Registration stays at the registrar
- A subdomain is the usual host
- We do not sell the name
- The page can pause; the name does not move
If you stop paying
If you stop paying, the page pauses after a 7-day grace period. Visitors see a short holding page. The domain remains yours. Renew and the page is public again. Nothing is deleted when it pauses.
The file you can download in the meantime is on the export page.
After a lapse
- 7-day grace period
- Visitors see a holding page
- The domain remains yours
- Renew and the same page is public
Included with publishing
The domain connection is part of publishing, not a higher tier. Add the record when you want the address to be one you already own.
- 1
Username first
A username on this host works the day you publish. The custom domain is optional.
- 2
No certificate add-on
SSL is issued with verification. You pay the registrar for the name. We do not add a certificate fee.
- 3
Subdomain is typical
links.yourname.com is the usual shape. The registration of the parent name stays at your registrar.
- 4
Pause is not deletion
After 7 days without payment, visitors see a holding page. The domain record is still yours to point.
Keep going
Claim it.
Build the draft before you pay. The name might still be open.
