Add your Substack to the link in bio page
Add the Substack URL on the page, then put one published address in Substack’s website field and in the other profiles you use. It is a paste, not a separate product. Subscribing still happens on Substack.
47 places a link can land
Places that URL can go
Substack is one profile you can paste. The same published address can go in the other website fields you already have.
Substack
The publication URL
Paste the profile. A single post can stay a button. Subscribing still happens on Substack, not on this page.
Profiles
The website field
Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and GitHub can each hold this one published URL. You paste it yourself.
Your site
Header or footer
Repeat the URL on your own site. A new project is one edit on the page, then every profile that points here is current.
Print
A QR of this address
The share dialog downloads a PNG or an SVG of the page URL. It encodes that address, not some other link.
Where the Substack URL goes
Paste the publication URL you already use. If that URL is the profile, it can land as an icon. A single post can stay a button you title yourself. Either way, subscribing happens on Substack.
Use the Substack URL alone in a profile when the newsletter is the only destination. Use this page when readers also need a site, a shop you already run, or other profiles. The profile guide lists the website field on each app.
Substack, specifically
- Paste the publication URL
- Subscribe stays on Substack
- Use the page if they need more
- One published URL
Paste the published URL yourself
Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, GitHub, and your own site can all use that address. You paste it yourself on Instagram and TikTok. Those apps do not take a prefilled post from here.
The page has to be published before anyone else can open it. A draft URL is only useful to you. After it is live, analytics shows which of those apps the visits came from. A click on the Substack link is a click, not a confirmed subscriber.
What you paste
- One address
- You paste it on Instagram
- You paste it on TikTok
- A new link is one edit
A QR of this address
The share dialog draws a QR of the page URL and downloads it as a PNG or an SVG. It is that address, for a card, a poster, or a package.
If you print it, use your own domain once that domain is connected. A code that points at a domain you control still scans after a username change. Connecting it is on the custom domain page.
If you print it
- PNG or SVG
- This page’s URL only
- Print a domain you own
- Draft URLs stay private
Before you share it
Substack and the rest of your profiles can share one published URL. Claim the name, finish the draft, and publish when other people should open it.
- 1
A draft stays private
Other people can open the URL only after you publish. You can still build the page and copy the address.
- 2
One page, many profiles
You do not rebuild the page per app. Add a link once and every profile that points here is current.
- 3
Substack stays Substack
This page can send someone to the publication. The subscription itself still happens on Substack.
- 4
A click is not a subscriber
A tap on the Substack link is counted as a click. It does not confirm that someone subscribed.
Claim it.
Build the draft before you pay. The name might still be open.
